Biological Laboratories, 16 Divinity Ave., Cambridge, MA 02138, USA – FlyBaseThe Drosophila persimilis whole genome shotgun (WGS) project has the project accession AAIZ00000000. This version of the project (01) has the accession number AAIZ01000000, and consists of sequences AAIZ01000001-AAIZ01026813.
This is the CAF1 assembly of the Drosophila persimilis genome. It has 4.1x coverage. The assembly was improved by using the CAF1 assembly of the Drosophila pseudoobscura genome as a reference to validate both alignments between reads and linkage information. The gene annotation is based on FlyBase Release 1.3, which contains some corrections of the original annotation published by the Drosophila 12 Genomes Consortium. Annotation was added to the scaffolds in July 2008.
