Micrographs were taken with a Siemens 102 electron mircoscope operated at 100 kV.

Virion appear smooth when both shells (outer and inner capsid) are intact. Note the thin array of spikes on the upper right particle and between the particles. The lower particle displays a dark core, thus highlighting the two layers of the capsid.
