Launch NCBI Home Page

Goals

• Find compound records for gleevec that are linked to 3D structures
• View the structural complex in Cn3D

Steps

1. Search PubChem Compound
   
   • On the NCBI home page, choose PubChem Compound from the Database menu.
   • Type gleevec in the search box.
   • Click Go.

2. Limit to records with links to 3D structures
   
   • Click the Protein3D tab above the record summaries.
   • Click on the small pushpin symbol to reveal the Entrez query that accomplishes this limit.
   • Click on Other Links to the right, then on Protein Structures.

3. View the structure in Cn3D
   
   • Click the PDB accession 1XBB.
   • You should see an image of gleevec in the bottom of the structure summary page.
   • Click the View 3D Structure button to launch Cn3D.
