Sample User Question back to top

How many genes in the Haemophilus influenzae are involved in-

  • Transcription?
  • Translation?
  • Cytoskeleton?
  • Chromatin?

How can I get a list of each protein involved in these functional groups?

Step By Step Guide back to top

  • Go to the Haemophilus influenzae line on the Microbial Genome list, select the COG link, and look up the numbers of genes in the functional groups to see that 78 genes are involved in Transcription, 123 genes are involved in Translation, and there are no genes involved in Cytoskeleton and Chromatin as these are eukaryotic functions that do not apply to prokaryotes
  • To get a list of the genes in each functional group, merely click on the number associated with that group
