Sample User Question back to top

Is the complete sequence for Haemophilus influenzae genome available?

Step By Step Guide back to top

Yes! One point of access is from the ENTREZ GENOMES Website as accessed from the GENOMIC BIOLOGY site. To get there, use the following steps:

  1. Go to the MICROBIAL GENOMES site on ENTREZE GENOMES by clicking on the MICROBIAL GENOMES link
  2. Scroll down the resulting list of completed microbial genomes and find Haemophilus influenzae
  3. Click on the Accession Number listed for Haemophilus influenzae (NC_000907) to go to the SUMMARY SEQUENCE VIEW (see FIG 4A-B)
  4. Note the graphical representation of the Haemophilus influenzae genome, and the assorted tools and options displayed for accessing, searching and analyzing that genome.

ALTERNATIVELY:

Much of the above information can also be acquired directly from the links present on the organism line in the list of genomes--Specifically the GENBANK link (see FIG 5)
