to learn more about it and make certain that you are choosing the
correct gene.

- Search either the MapViewer or Entrez Gene for 'synapsin III'. Find
the correct gene. Identify its cytogenetic location as 22q12.3.
- Click on the name of the gene in the MapViewer results or click on Links and then "Map Viewer"
from the Entrez Gene record to view the gene in the MapViewer.
- Display the Variation map to see SNPs. There are several within this gene.
- Display the STS map to locate flanking markers. Some close markers include Ren78172 and Ren80207.
