Kristine Alpi
is currently Associate Library Director & Lecturer in Public Health at the Weill
Cornell Medical Library. Prior to that, she was an Information Services Librarian
at the Weill Cornell Medical Library, where she provided workshops on molecular
biology information resources for both end-users and colleagues, and then Library
Manager for the Public Health Library of the New York City Department of Health &
Mental Hygiene. Kris is a member of NCBI's Educollab team, which created the
educational materials for the 40-hr NCBI Advanced Workshop for Bioinformatics
Information Specialists. She has also been an instructor for other CE courses
approved by MLA including PubMed searching, "More than MEDLINE" and "The Public
Health Knowledgebase." Alpi has published newsletter articles on the science
behind molecular medicine for the New York-New Jersey chapter of MLA and presented
on bioinformatics and clinical genetics at chapter and national MLA meetings.
