Title:
Codon usage as a measure of gene expressivity in prokaryotic genomes

Abstract:
Preference for one synonymous codon over the others has a pronounced
effect in prokaryotes - codon usage patterns are shown to vary on
different levels: between genomes, within a genome, and even within a
single gene. In order to quantify the effect, various measures
(statistics) of codon usage were devised, some of which can be used to
predict gene expressivity.

In this talk, I will demonstrate the INteractive Codon usage Analysis
software (INCA, available from www.bioinfo.hr/inca
<http://www.bioinfo.hr/inca>) and its applications in analysis of
microbial intra-genomic codon usage bias.
