Segmented Set of Exons and/or Introns |
A segmented set of nucleotide entries is a set of non-contiguous sequences
which has a defined order and orientation
Relevant feature information for a segmented set of exons and/or introns:
- description for each sequence of the set (e.g., exon 1, exon 2,
exon 3 or intron 2, intron 4, intron 6)
- nucleotide intervals for each exon and/or intron
- nucleotide intervals for the coding region, including start and stop
codons, if present. Alternatively, a complete translation of the protein
would be very helpful to GenBank annotators when processing your entries
We strongly suggest that you provide as much of the above information
as possible to ensure the most complete annotation of your sequence.
If any of this information is not known, please inform us.
