6/23 Genome Reference Consortium The Genome Reference Consortium (GRC) was formed to continue the improvement of the human and mouse genome reference assemblies. GRC aims to fix the small number of loci that may be misrepresented in the reference assembly, fill the remaining gaps, and to produce alternate representations of complex loci.
