MAPS

Access to various genetic and physical maps.

Map Viewer:

Provides integrated views of chromosome maps for 40 organisms including vertebrates, invertebrates, protozoa, plants, and fungi. Map Viewer displays one or more maps that have been aligned to each other based on shared marker and gene names and, for the sequence maps, based on a common sequence coordinate system.

Human Map:

Explore the human genome with NCBI's Homo sapiens Map Viewer, which displays features on NCBI's assembly of human genomic sequence data as well as cytogenetic, genetic, physical, and radiation hybrid maps.

Model Maker:

Model Maker allows a user to construct a mRNA sequence from genomic data, select exons identified by alignments of mRNAs and ESTs, edit the model, test open reading frames, and save your results. Model Maker is available from Map Viewer wherever the "mm" link is displayed.

OMIM Gene Map:

Cytogenetic locations of genes that have been reported in the literature and determined by a variety of mapping methods.

OMIM Morbid Map:

An alphabetical listing of diseases and their corresponding cytogenetic map locations, with links to OMIM entries.
